Melody Tan is the Chief Operating Officer of Viacom International Media Networks based in New York. Tan has oversight of VIMN’s centralized strategic services, including Finance, Strategy and Operations, Business Intelligence, Multi-Platform Products, Business and Legal Affairs, HR and VIMN’s recreation business, and is charged with the company’s growth strategy in collaboration with VIMN CEO David Lynn and the leadership of VIMN’s four pan-regional management centers. Tan was previously the Executive Vice President of Programming, Strategy & Operations for the MTV, VH1 and Logo Group in the U.S. Prior to that, she was SVP, Strategy & Business Operations within Viacom’s U.S. based Global Distribution Team, responsible for driving sales and distribution initiatives. Prior to joining Viacom, Tan worked as a growth strategy consultant for Oliver Wyman. She earned a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and has been awarded NAMIC’s Luminary Award and recognized in Multichannel News’ “40 Under 40.”
