Speaker Bio
Farnaz Esnaashari‐Charmatz is the creator of Shimmer and Shine, Nickelodeon’s hit animated preschool series. Farnaz’s journey with Nickelodeon started with an internship while in college. After graduating, she was determined to work for the network that gave her her start. She set off learning all she could about animation and preschool at Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, CA. Over the last 10 years, Farnaz served as the post‐production supervisor on a number of Nickelodeon preschool series including Dora the Explorer, Go Diego, Go! and Ni Hao, Kai‐lan. Her knowledge and understanding of how to “fix it in post,” combined with her years of art training and creativity, has led her to where she is today.
Farnaz graduated from California State University of Fullerton with a BA in Entertainment Art. She currently resides in Los Angeles and has a built‐in preschool audience of two children (who are devoted Shimmer and Shine fans).
