Speaker Bio
Fredwreck was born in Flint, MI, and grew up in California from the age of 10. He started out DJing on the radio and was one of the founding members of the Wake Up Show with Sway and King Tech. His radio remixes put him on the radar of many record labels, which started his career of remixing and production. He served as the director of A&R at Universal/MCA records for three years until he left to join Dr. Dre in his newly founded Aftermath record label and concurrently signed a production deal with Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle records.

Self-taught musician, he plays keyboards and guitar, and DJs, engineers and mixes. For the past 25 years, Fredwreck has produced and written songs for some of the biggest names in hip-hop, pop, rock and R&B. He has worked with many artists, including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Britney Spears, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, Faith Evans, Notorious Big, Kurupt and Nate Dogg to name just a few.

From 2007 to 2010, Fredwreck hosted and produced a television program on MTV Arabia called hiphopna, a hip-hop American Idol-style show that had Fred traveling around the Middle East to find local hip-hop talent, then taking them into the studio to record new music and film a video. The show was broadcast to over 100,000,000 million viewers in the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Syria, Kuwait, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Iraq.

In 2016, he teamed up with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg to co-host the Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party on VH1, now currently in its third season.
