Kimberley Mooney began her career in animation as a PA on Nickelodeon’s My Life as a Teenage Robot and Catscratch. She then transitioned into the role of Production Coordinator for Disney TV Animation’s Shorts Program, a guerrilla team of four, developing and producing 30 five-minute shorts from all different creative teams. After three seasons, she was promoted to Development Coordinator and then later to Manager of Development where over the course of 10 years, she helped deliver such series as Fish Hooks, Tron, Motorcity, Randy Cunningham, 9th Grade Ninja, Penn Zero, Part-Time Hero, Pickle & Peanut, Milo Murphy’s Law, Billy Dilley’s Super Duper Subterranean Summer, the award-winning Gravity Falls, the upcoming heritage favorite, Duck Tales and the recently green-lighted, Country Club. She is now back at Nickelodeon as Senior Director of Animation Development devoted to rigorous outreach, elevated storytelling and shaping original content for our audience. She studied English Literature and Art History at the University of Arizona and has a background in sketch comedy, performance art and dance.
