Amber Rasberry is an Entertainment Industry Executive who thrives in fostering the creative ambitions of content creators from the film, television and digital worlds. With over 15 years of experience in the Hollywood studio system, Amber is known for her strong relationships with executives, talent, filmmakers and representatives, and being a connector to those around her.

Currently, Amber is Vice President, Development for Paramount Players. An exciting new division of Paramount Pictures, Paramount Players, aims to make theatrical motion pictures which leverage the flagship brands of Viacom — MTV, BET, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. Previously, Amber was Vice President of Production at Global Road, an independent film studio, and was also head of production at Kevin Hart’s digital network, Laugh Out Loud. As a key executive in launching the digital network, Ms. Rasberry worked closely with Laugh Out Loud content creators by overseeing production for all content on the network, including episodic series Cold As Balls with Kevin Hart, Dead House with Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor and Black Geo with Dormtainment, and led its film initiative by commencing short film competitions with the American Black Film Festival and the Just for Laughs Film Festival. Amber also managed the production of Kevin’s weekly SiriusXM radio show, Straight from the Hart.

Before Laugh Out Loud, Amber was Director of Development at 34th St Films, a subsidiary of Tyler Perry Studios, where she identified, lobbied and secured the acquisition of Academy Award-winning film, Precious, at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. She served as a production executive for the feature adaptation of the seminal play, For Colored Girls, where she helped assemble a historic cast of black actresses, including Kerry Washington, Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg and Phylicia Rashad. Balancing acclaimed dramas with fun comedies, she worked on Peeples with Craig Robinson. Amber produced feature film, Seasons of Love, with Taraji P. Henson, Gladys Knight and Method Man, and a reality show on DJ Cuppy, shot in Lagos, Nigeria. She has received the Uptown Magazine and Grey Goose, “Rising Icons: Tastemakers” Award and was recognized by HelloBeautiful.com as one of the “Top 25 Women to Know in Media.”

Upon graduating from the University of Southern California, Ms. Rasberry started her career in music video and commercial production with HSI Productions and director Hype Williams, and represented music video directors Erik White and Director X. She then moved to feature film development as an assistant at State Street Pictures, where she worked on the box-office hit, Barbershop. As a Production and Development Associate, Amber established the film development division of Simmons Lathan Media Group, a multimedia partnership between Russell Simmons and legendary director, Stan Lathan. After briefly living in Sevilla, Spain, she returned and worked at New Line Cinema where she assisted in the development of Sex and the City: The Movie and Rush Hour 3.

Amber is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She has served as program facilitator for EmpowHer Leaders Academy, a high school mentorship program aiming to provide young women with guidance in college and career planning, confidence building, leadership skills, and community service, and as a board member for the African Film and Entertainment Collective, aiming to bridge Hollywood and Africa through film and television content.
