Tonya Lewis Lee has been hard at work for over 20 years delivering quality content and information across many platforms. Through storytelling online, in books, in film and in television, she has sought to entertain, educate, inspire and encourage positive health outcomes through healthy lifestyle choices.

Tonya is an accomplished author penning three children’s books which have sold over a million copies: Please Baby Please, Please Puppy Please and Giant Steps to Change the World, all with Simon & Schuster. She is also the co-author of the best-selling novel, Gotham Diaries, published by Hyperion.

She has produced classic television programming such as Miracle’s Boys, The Watsons Go to Birmingham and She’s Gotta Have It. Her latest film project, Monster, will be in theaters in the spring of 2019.

In 2015, she founded and launched Movita, a line of organic vitamin supplements. These vitamin products were a result of her work traveling the country for nearly 10 years with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to raise awareness about infant mortality rates in the United States.

Lewis Lee graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA and from the University of Virginia School of Law with a JD. Tonya Lewis Lee has two children, ages 24 and 21, and lives in New York City with her husband Spike Lee.
