Sherry Liu is the Vice President of Business Operations & Strategy at Viacom Digital Studios, a leading digital content studio focused on the creation of premium programming for Viacom’s flagship brands, including MTV, BET, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. In this role, she is responsible for developing a long-range strategic plan for digital original content across the leading and emerging digital and social platforms; implementing operational initiatives; and assessing partnerships and acquisitions to complement the VDS portfolio.

Prior to Viacom, Sherry was the Vice President of Business Development at Awesomeness where she managed digital distribution and new business. Her accomplishments include: Awesomeness’s investment in MiTu and Verizon’s strategic investment in Awesomeness. Prior to Awesomeness, Liu worked at DreamWorks Animation, where she played a key role in forming and operating Oriental DreamWorks, a joint venture based in Shanghai, leading finance and strategy. There she served in multiple positions including FP&A and corporate development, leading to DreamWork’s first ever acquisition of Classic Media. Prior to DreamWorks, Liu held multiple finance positions in asset management and investment banking in New York. She is based in Los Angeles.
